How to set up your own email domain on Easol
Using your own email domain for Easol has two big advantages:
-
Increased trust – all automated emails (like booking confirmations and receipts) will be sent from your domain instead of
noreply@easol.com. - Messaging access – setting up your domain is something you need to do first before you can send and receive emails with customers directly from Easol.
Step 1: Add your sender domain
You need the “Configure sender domain” permission under Organisation in order to set up your own domain on Easol.
- Go to Settings > Emails > Domains & Addresses.
- Click Configure custom email domain.
- Enter your domain (e.g.
yourdomain.com) and click Save.
Step 2: Verify your domain ownership
- Easol will show you a TXT record to add to your DNS settings with your domain provider (like GoDaddy or Google Domains).
- Record type:
TXT - Name:
@ - Value: a unique verification string (shown in your Easol account)
- Record type:
- Log in to your domain provider and add this record. How to add DNS records with popular domain providers.
- Once the change is live, you can click refresh and Easol will confirm with a message: Your domain has been verified.
Step 3: Authenticate your domain
- Easol will also generate CNAME (DKIM) and TXT (DMARC) records. These need to be added to your DNS provider’s settings.
- DKIM records prove Easol is allowed to send on your behalf.
- DMARC records help protect your domain against fraud.
- Copy each record from Easol and add it into your DNS. How to add DNS records with popular domain providers.
- Return to Easol and click Validate authentication.
- Once complete, you’ll see Domain authenticated.
Step 4: Enable your domain in Easol
- Go back to Settings > Emails > Domains & Addresses.
- You’ll now see your domain listed with both DNS check and Email verification marked as complete.
- Toggle Enable domain to activate it.
- You can also edit the prefix (for example, change
noreply@yourdomain.comto something else) by clicking Edit.
Your automated emails will now be sent from your own domain, and you’ll be able to use Easol Messaging to email your customers directly.
