View and export reports
Easol has pre-built reports that answer the most common questions you may have about your sales and finances.
How to view a report
To view reports, go to Data & Insights and select Reports. Here you’ll find a full list of available reports. Each report can be:
- Filtered (e.g. by date, country, product)
- Searched (e.g. by booking reference)
- Sorted (select a table heading to sort in ascending or descending order)
- Customised (show, hide, and reorder columns to your preference)
- Exported as a CSV file (with your column preferences applied)
How to save a report view
If there’s a specific configuration of filters you use a lot for a report, you can save it as a view for easier access. To save a report view:
- Go to Data & Insights > Reports and select a report.
- Configure the filters as needed.
- Next, select Views and click Save selection as view.
- Give the view a name and click Save view.
You can now access the saved view under Views.
To share this view with others, simply copy and paste the URL to share it with them. They will be able to see the view with the filters applied and save it for themselves.
To remove a report view, click the trash icon. Note that this cannot be undone.
How to customise report columns
You can customise which columns appear in a report and change their order to suit your needs. Your column preferences are saved automatically and will apply every time you view that report.
To customise columns:
Go to Data & Insights > Reports and select a report.
- Click Edit columns in the toolbar.
- A panel will open showing all available columns for the report.
- To show or hide a column: Click the eye icon next to any column name.
- Eye icon = column is visible
- Eye with slash icon = column is hidden
To reorder columns: Drag and drop columns into your preferred order using the drag handle and click “Apply” to save your changes.
The report will now display only your selected columns in the order you chose. These preferences are personal to you and won't affect how other team members see the report.
If you want to return to the default column layout:
- Open the report.
- Click Reset columns in the toolbar.
- The report will revert to showing all default columns in their original order.
Important notes:
- Your column preferences are saved separately from your saved filter views
- When you share a report URL, others will see their own column preferences (or the defaults if they haven't customised)
- New columns added to a report will appear as hidden at the end of your column list until you make them visible
How to export a report
All reports can be exported as raw data and used in other third-party tools. When you export a report, the CSV will include only the columns you have made visible (if you've customised the columns), in the order you've arranged them. To export a report:
- Go to Data & Insights > Reports and select a report.
- Select a saved view or configure the filters, if needed. (Optional) Click Edit columns to customise which columns you want to export.
- Next, click Export.
- The report is now downloaded to your computer as a CSV file.
Note: The export will respect your column customisation. If you haven't customised columns, all available columns will be exported in their default order.
