Add SEO metadata to your website
Easol comes with SEO tools to help you optimise your website for search engines, boost organic traffic and grow your business.
How to add default metadata to your website
To add default metadata that displays on social share links:
- Go to Site and select a site version.
- Navigate to Site Settings > Metadata.
- Enter a Meta title. It should include your brand name and any important keywords to your business. Aim for 50-60 characters.
- Enter a Meta description. It should be short but engaging to encourage clicks. Aim for 120-155 characters.
- Click Save to publish changes.
How to add metadata to your website pages
- Go to Site and select a site version.
- Select a page.
- Click the three-dot icon and select Edit meta tags.
- Enter a Meta title. It should include your brand name and any target keywords for SEO. Aim for 50-60 characters.
- Enter a Meta description. It should be short but engaging to encourage clicks. Aim for 120-155 characters.
- Preview the metadata for search engine results.
- Next, upload a Social image to be displayed on social share links (e.g. on Facebook). The recommended image size is 1200x630.
- Click Save to publish changes.
How to add metadata to your experience and accommodation pages
- In the admin dashboard, select an experience or accommodation and go to the Marketing tab.
- Enter a Meta title. It should include your brand name and any target keywords for SEO. Aim for 50-60 characters.
- Enter a Meta description. It should be short but engaging to encourage clicks. Aim for 120-155 characters.
- Preview the metadata for search engine results.
- Next, upload a Social image to be displayed on social share links (e.g. on Facebook). The recommended image size is 1200x630.
- Click Save to publish changes.
