Improve Your SEO
SEO “Search Engine Optimization” is the process of enhancing your website to boost its prominence on search engines. The better visibility of your website, the more likely you are to attract new customers.
Maintain an updated website
Google's frequency of crawling a website can vary depending on multiple factors such as the website's size, authority, freshness of content, and frequency of updates. Typically, Google crawls most websites once every three to four weeks.
To guarantee that significant changes to your site are promptly reflected in search results, you have the option to request a search engine to reindex your content. Submitting an updated site map and re-indexing your website will help search engines better index the pages of your website and ensure that any changes you make are properly reflected.
Customise SEO product and site titles
Ensure that your SEO titles and descriptions are accurate and clear for search engines to understand on your website, site pages, and products.
Add Alt Text to images
Alt text is the text that displays when people hover over an image and makes your site more accessible. Alt text is used to help search engines understand the content of a page or the description of an image. It is meant to convey the "why" of the image as it relates to the content of a document or webpage.
We'd recommend reviewing the image files across your site pages and product pages so that the alt text is updated in as many of them as possible. In some of the blocks used in your site pages, particularly the Text and Image blocks and Image Gallery Swiper blocks, you'll be able to add the alt text directly in the block editor. For the images on the rest of your website and in product merchandising, the platform will apply the image file name as the alt text to allow you control here.
For any images where you are unable to edit the alt text in the block editor, you'll want to rename the raw image file using the desired alt text as the file name. Once updated, re-upload the image in the block editor and the platform will automatically apply the file name as the alt text.
Include keywords
Identify relevant keywords and phrases your target audience is likely to use when searching for your experience and ensure your title tags, descriptions, headings, and content include your target keywords. You can regularly monitor your keyword performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Page structure
Page structure plays a crucial role in determining a website's SEO performance. A well-organised and structured page not only enhances user experience but also makes it easier for search engine crawlers to understand and index the content. Proper use of HTML elements such as headings (H1, H2, etc.) helps search engines interpret the hierarchy and relevance of the content. Headings provide a clear outline of the page's topic and subtopics, aiding both users and search engines in understanding the content's structure.
