Activity Updates
What are activity updates?
Activity updates are notifications about key events related to inquiries, recommendations, and bookings that help team members in different roles do their jobs efficiently.
Events list
Activity updates can be enabled for the following events:
General inquiries
New inquiries
Assignment
State changes (e.g. from New to In Progress)
New email messages received
Sales pipeline
New sales inquiries
Assignment
Sales pipeline state changes (e.g. Rejected, Lost, Proposal out)
New email messages
Recommendation events (e.g. opened, expired)
Bookings
New online bookings
Payments made
Overdue balance payments
Interacting with activity updates
You can view your activity updates in a side panel. From there, you can:
Review updates one by one
Click through to the relevant item (e.g. a recommendation) from each update
Keep the sidebar open while dealing with one update so you can review all your updates easily
Access your activity settings
Filter updates by read/unread status
Mark all updates as read
Configure your activity updates
Activity settings let you control which updates you receive for different events and items.
You can customise these based on:
Activity settings – Choose whether to receive alerts for a specific event across all items of a certain type (such as bookings, inquiries, or recommendations), only for items you are assigned to, or none.
Subscriptions for individual items – Subscribe to some or all events for an individual item (e.g. a recommendation), or turn off some or all of its events to fine-tune your setup.
Reducing noise – You will not receive updates for events that you triggered yourself, helping keep your activity relevant and uncluttered.
Activity settings per event
Each event (for example, “Email message received” or “Inquiry assigned”) has an overall setting:
On/off – If set to off, you will not receive updates for this event unless you have subscribed to it for an individual item.
Always on – Receive updates for this event across all items of that type (e.g. all inquiries).
If assigned to me – Receive updates only for items you are assigned to.
Subscribing to and turning off updates for individual items
You can customise updates for individual items, such as a recommendation you’re interested in, on a per-event basis:
Subscribe – Receive updates about the event for that specific item, even if your activity settings would not normally send the update.
Mute – Stop receiving updates about the event for that specific item, even if your activity settings would normally send the update.
When assignment changes
When your assignment status changes, this affects the updates you receive:
Unassigned – You will no longer receive updates for events that are set to If assigned to me only, unless you subscribed to events for that individual item.
Reassigned – If you are assigned again to an item, you will start receiving updates again about events set to If assigned to me.
⚠️ Important:
If you previously turned off updates about an event for that item, those will be automatically re-enabled to make sure you don’t miss anything important about an assigned item (you can turn it off again if needed).
Reducing noise
To keep your Activity tab relevant and manageable, the system automatically skips updates for events that you triggered yourself.
For example:
If you move a sales inquiry into In Progress on the board, you will not get an update about this.
Other users may still receive updates for the same event according to their settings.
