Configure your domain on 123 Reg
How to connect your domain on 123 Reg to Easol
Before you begin, login to your 123 Reg account, find the domain you want to point to your site on Easol and select Manage Domain. Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab.
Create a new CNAME record
Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter a new DNS record with the following settings:
Host Name | www |
Type | CNAME |
Value | ssl.myeasol.com. |
Click Add and your new configuration will be added to the list of records. Your domain should now be set up on www.yourdomain.com.
Note: It can take up to four hours for the domain to propagate across the internet. You can check on the status of the update around the world using this tool.
Set up domain forwarding
Next, set up a redirect to ensure your domain loads without the www. prefix (i.e. yourdomain.com). Under Domain Basics, go to Web Forwarding.
Select Permanent Forwarding option. Enter www.yourdomain.com for Forward to.
Your domain should now be good to go on www.yourdomain.com.
For more information on forwarding for 123Reg, please refer to their documentation.
Add your domain to Easol
Log in to your Easol admin dashboard and go to My site > Site Settings > Domain. Enter your domain name (www.yourdomain.com) under Custom Domain. Do not include the https prefix. Click Save to publish changes.
Note that a free SSL certificate will be applied automatically.
