What are payment processing fees?
Payment processing fees are charges that apply to each transaction when a customer books an experience and makes a purchase on your website. These fees cover the cost for Easol to process transactions with external payment providers, and the rates vary depending on the plan that you choose.
There are two rates for different types of transactions:
Rate | Transaction type | |
Base rate | Standard cards | Covers domestic Visa and Mastercard debit and credit transactions. Accounts for the majority of transactions on Easol. |
Premium rate | Higher tier cards |
Includes transactions paid with:
|
Cross-border transactions |
Transactions are cross-border if the customer’s card currency or issuing country doesn’t match the currency your business is paid in.
Exceptions apply to transactions between UK and EU countries using GBP, EUR and other EU currencies (e.g. CZK), which Easol treats as domestic. |
