Step 2: Create your experiences
Add your experiences
Before you start creating your experiences, we recommend familiarising yourself with what you can sell on Easol. In short, there are two main types of experiences you can sell:
- Experiences are individual events, retreats or trips that have a set start and finish date/time. It can be a one-time experience or a series of experiences. To add a new experience, go to Experiences and click Add experience. Once you've added an experience, you can also add extras to up-sell customers.
- Accommodations are rooms or unit-type properties that customers can book and choose their own check-in and check-out date. To add a new accommodation, go to Accommodations and click Add accommodation.
Set up pricing
To set up pricing, you’ll need to create a variant. Variants are all the options within an experience or accommodation sold – they’re the items your customers will be purchasing at checkout, such as a festival ticket or a suite in a resort.
You can also offer additional options on top of your variants, such as meal types and time slots, at checkout with modifiers.
Collect guest information
Configure check-in and allocation to automate the collection of guest information, such as date of birth, flight arrival time and dietary notes. Guests can add their details at checkout or after purchase. This is configured under each variant.
Merchandise your experiences
To help boost sales, you can provide additional details, such as key highlights, images, venue information, featured hosts, testimonials and itineraries, by merchandising your experiences and accommodations under the Merchandising tab.
Configure payment settings
Configure how customers make a booking and pay for your experiences and accommodations by updating your payment settings. Payment options include full payment at booking, deposit at booking, payment plans and enquiry-only booking. You can also set up your own booking fees.
Publish your experiences
To allow customers to view and book an experience or accommodation, publish it and make it available for purchase.
