Transfer a customer booking
You are able to transfer customer bookings directly in Easol on behalf of customers. In order to transfer a booking, it must be in a Completed state, where the departure date of the items is in the future. The entire booking will be transferred to the new lead booker.
Upon being transferred, all data previously collected via Guest Fields will be cleared. If Guest Fields are enabled, the new lead booker will need to complete their Guest Fields in their customer account.
In order to transfer bookings for customers, you need to have the Manage bookings permission. Learn more about roles and permissions.
Note: If ticketing is enabled for the booking being transferred and tickets have been dispatched, the original tickets will be void and new tickets will be dispatched to the new lead booker.
How to transfer a customer booking
- Go to Bookings > All Bookings in your dashboard and select the Booking Reference of the booking you want to transfer.
- Click Actions and select Transfer Booking.
- Enter the Name and Email Address of the new lead booker.
- Finalize the transfer via Confirm Transfer.
- If the new lead booker does not have an account, an email with steps to sign up and create an account with Easol will be sent to them. In order to accept the transferred booking, they must sign up and create an account.
- If the new lead booker does have an account, they will automatically receive a confirmation email. They can also log in and immediately view the booking.
- A note will be added to the booking timeline confirming the transfer.
