How to invite guests to a booking
Lead bookers can invite guests to access a booking so guests can manage their own details and download their own tickets.
Invited guests will only be able to view the ticket(s) and item(s) assigned to them, not the full booking. This article explains how to invite guests and what happens after an invitation is sent.
This article explains how to invite guests and how guest invitations work.
Inviting guests to a booking
- Log in to your account
- Go to Bookings
- Select the booking you want to manage
- Look for the message “Some guests don’t have access”
- Select Invite
- Enter or review the guest details for each ticket
- When prompted, choose Invite guests
Once invited, guests will receive an email invitation allowing them to access their ticket(s) in the booking.
What happens when a guest is invited
When a guest is invited:
- They receive an email invitation to access the booking
- They can log in or create an account to view the booking
- They will be able to download their ticket once tickets become available
- They will be associated with the booking in the system
Adding guest details without inviting them
It’s possible for the lead booker to enter guest details without inviting them.
In this case:
- The lead booker fills in the guest information manually
- The guests will not be invited to the booking
- Guests won’t automatically see the booking or tickets in their account
Tip: If you want guests to access their tickets themselves, make sure you invite them rather than only entering their details.
Editing guest email addresses
If a guest has already been invited, when editing the booking you will see the following line:
“Changing the email address will send an invite to the new guest allowing them to view the booking.”
This appears when the guest is already associated with the booking. Changing the email address will send a new invitation to the updated email.
If guests have not been invited, this message will not appear.
