Manage at-the-door sales for your event
During your event, you have the option of selling tickets through your website and also offering the option for customers to purchase tickets at your event. If you want to sell tickets at your event, you have the option to manually create bookings for customers. This includes both manually processing payments and accepting cash payments at the door.
- Manually create the booking for the customer on site by following our guide here.
- If there is a balance due once the booking has been created, you'll want to ask the customer how they would like to pay, from these options:
- You can manually take their credit card details on their behalf
- Cash payment in full
- If they'd like to pay through an online link directly
- Partial cash and credit card combined
- Depending on the customer's decision, follow the corresponding section below.
Manually charge credit card
- When you're ready to manually charge the customer's credit card payment, select Pay now, under the balance details section of their booking.
- Enter the customer's contact details, including their phone number and address.
- The marketing preferences box is unticked by default as the customer must verbally say they're happy to receive marketing emails. If they're happy to receive them, you can tick this box.
- Select pay in full.
- Enter the customer's payment details, including card number, expiry date, and CVC.
- Click Confirm and Pay.
- The booking will update to Completed and the customer has now successfully paid for their booking.

Cash payment in full
- When the customer has provided the cash amount to pay for their booking, select Paid off-platform, under the balance details section of their booking.
- Click Confirm.
- The booking will update to Completed and the customer has now successfully paid for their booking.

Pay via payment link
- If the customer prefers to pay for their booking directly on their phone, select Pay Later, under the balance details section of their booking.
- Copy the URL that is displayed and share it with the customer via email.
- Important: The customer will only be able to access the payment link using the email address that matches their booking.
- The customer can step out of line to complete the payment independently. Once they've completed the payment, they will receive their booking confirmation and e-ticket (if applicable) immediately after.
Partial cash and credit card payment
- To process a payment with partial cash and the rest on credit card, you'll want to begin with the credit card payment first.
- Calculate the remaining balance due which the customer will need to pay after you have deducted the cash amount.
- When you're ready to manually charge the customer's credit card payment, select Pay now, under the balance details section of their booking.
- Enter the customer's contact details, including their phone number and address.
- The marketing preferences box is unticked by default as the customer must verbally say they're happy to receive marketing emails. If they're happy to receive them, you can tick this box.
- Next to the payment in full option, click Edit
- Select Partial payment and enter the remaining balance due you calculated in step 2.
- Click Confirm.
- Double check the amount due today and the remaining balance due for the cash payment are correct.
- Enter the customer's payment details, including card number, expiry date, and CVC.
- Click Confirm and Pay.
- You have now completed the credit card payment and are ready to proceed with the cash payment. Under the balance details section of their booking, select Paid off-platform.
- Click Confirm.
- The booking will update to Completed and the customer has now successfully paid for their booking.
