Online booking window
Using an online booking window allows you to set specific time frames during which customers can book individual variants. While the online booking window dictates when customers can book specific variants online, members of your team retain the ability to create bookings manually for any date and time, regardless of the online availability set.
Unless specifically featured in a block, the Variants will be hidden from your site when they are off sale. Dates will go on sale at 00:00 as they fall within the online booking window, including all time slots for that date.
Important: In order for the online booking window to be on sale with the Variant, it must be visible (not hidden through the 'Hide variant' toggle) and on sale (not marked as off sale through the 'Sold out' toggle).
Set up an online booking window
- Navigate to the experience > Variant or Extra which you would like to edit.
- Click the Variant to open the editing panel.
- Under the Availability tab, select when the variant should go on sale.
- Any time in advance means the variant is available in accordance with the visibility of the variant being hidden or off-sale.
- Set a custom day, week, or month before the experience, for the variant to go on sale.
- Next, select when the variant should go off-sale.
- After the experience has finished, the variant is available until 23:59 UTC on the last day. If the experience does not have a start time, the variant is available an additional 24 hours after the last day.
- Set a custom minute, hour, day, or week - before or after the experience starts - for the variant to go off sale.
Set up an online booking window for repeating experiences
For repeating experience dates using a schedule, you can choose to set a new online booking window for the entire schedule period that would apply to all variants and extras for the dates and times created. This would take precedence over the individual variant or extra settings.
You can override the scheduled online booking window for a particular time. This will cause each variant or extra to go on-sale and off-sale for those dates/times regardless of the existing scheduled window.
When you create a schedule, choose ‘Create custom booking window for this schedule’, or open an existing schedule and apply the setting.
- If using the date list view on the product page: When the experience is not yet on-sale, the dates/times will not be presented.
- If using the calendar view on the product page: Dates that aren’t yet on-sale will be greyed out and not clickable, and time slots that aren’t yet available will not be presented.
