Overview of custom data
On Easol, there are several options for collecting and managing information from your customers. Custom data fields can be created and assigned during different parts of the booking process and tailored to your specific needs. You can gather the information you need during the booking process and track needs or inventory across customers.
Custom data can be managed in your dashboard under Settings > Custom Data. Currently, Easol supports the following custom data options:
- Custom guest data
- Custom booking data
- Custom enquiry form fields
Custom data can be set up using various question types including open text, multiple choice single-select, date, date and time, and checkbox queries. These can also be set as a requirement, where if enabled, customers won’t be able to proceed without answering the question.
Important: The main difference between custom booking data and guest data are that customers are not able to complete booking data.
Custom guest data
Formerly known as Customer Questions, or Allocation and Check In. This feature allows you to collect guest details during checkout or after checkout. In addition to the default fields provided by Easol, you can also add your own custom guest fields.
These fields are completed by the customer and can be edited by both the customer and your team. Use cases for guest data can be used to gather essential details like dietary restrictions, contact information, transportation details, clothing sizes, or any other information you need ahead of the experience.
Guest data is accessible within the Guest Report under the Guests tab of each product.

Custom booking data
Booking data enables you to create bespoke fields to gather additional booking information. These fields will appear in every booking and can be completed by team members with the necessary permissions.
Unlike guest data, booking data is not completed by the customer. These fields can only be completed by team members with the permission to amend, cancel, and refund bookings. Use cases for booking data can be used to note specific information regarding the booking or customers, like special occasions, inventory across vendors, food and beverage requirements, and even customer wristband details.
Booking data responses can be viewed in the Bookings report in your dashboard under Data & Insights > Reports.

Custom enquiry form fields
Custom enquiry form fields offer a tailored approach to gathering essential information from your customers. By default, basic fields such as first name, last name, and email address are included in an enquiry form. For more specific data fields, custom enquiry fields can be created and customised under the Custom Data section to include in your form.
Data on your enquiries is available within the Enquiries report in your dashboard under Data & Insights > Reports.
