How Apple Pay and Google Pay work at checkout
What is Apple Pay and Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay are digital payment technologies, also known as "wallet pay" or "digital wallets", that help make online checkout easier and faster for customers. Both Apple Pay and Google Pay are available for all payment method options, including:
- Payment in full
- Payment plans
- Deposits
How it works
Apple Pay and Google Pay are automatically displayed as a payment option at checkout if the customer meets the following criteria:
Requirements for Apply Pay
- Purchasing on Apple iPhone, iPad, or Mac (see a full list of compatible devices on Apple’s website)
- Must have a valid card in their Apple Pay wallet
- Checkout must be on a custom domain
Requirements for Google Pay
- Purchasing on desktop or mobile device (Android phone)
- Must be using Google Chrome or any browser built on Chromium, such as Microsoft Edge, Opera or Brave (see a full list of Chromium-based browsers)
- Must have a valid card in their Google Wallet
How to disable Apple Pay and Google Pay
Please reach out to the support team at support@easol.com to disable Apple Pay and Google Pay at your checkout. Note that this will apply to your checkout site-wide.
